Square Broaching Insert
Range
Description
Broach internal square profiles on a lathe with a C axis, a machining center or a slotting machine with a C axis.
A pilot hole is needed prior to broaching a square profile. The pilot hole needs to be 5% larger than the square. The formula: Pilot hole diameter = One side of square x 1.05
How to Select the Right Square Broaching Insert: 1- Every insert can broach a range of square sizes. E.g. IN-SQ-8/10 can broach squares from 8mm to 10mm in size. 2- Every insert goes with the matching holder. E.g. IN-SQ-8/10 insert fits the holder UT-SQ-8/10
